This ultimate trip of the Northern India starts from Delhi covers the best of wildlife and birding as you cover Corbett National Park for Tiger and wild elephants, Bharatpur – a delight for the bird watchers and Ranthambore National Park for Tigers and Leopards. Corbett National Park: Corbett is famous for its wide variety of fauna & flora and its beautiful location, which is located in the foothills of the Himalayas, is mostly known for the herds of wild elephant, and Tigers.

More commonly seen wildlife includes wild elephant, monkey (black face, long tail), crocodiles, snakes, rhesus macaque, peacock, and several types of deer including chital, sambar, hog deer and barking-deer, monitor lizard, wild boar and jackal. Bharatpur Bird Sanctuary – another delight for the bird watchers have 415 birds have been spotted at the park, 117 of which migrate from Siberia and China. Ride through the rickshaws and walk in the sanctuary and you have the privilege of stopping by the water bodies to view the different species of birds.

After spending the night in Bharatpur move onto Ranthambore Wildlife Sanctuary – Ranthambhor National Park is one of the prime examples of Project Tiger’s conservation set in the Aravalli and Vindhya hills and is Rajasthan’s most renowned wildlife sanctuary. Apart from that a large numbers of Sambar, Chital, Nilgai, Gazzelle, Boars, Mongoose, Indian Hare, Monitor Lizards and a large number of birds.

Itinerary

Day 1
Arrive Delhi

Arrive Delhi late in the evening. On arrival you will be received by our representative for transfer to hotel. Overnight: Hotel.

Day 2
Delhi Sightseeing

Full day sightseeing tour of Old and New Delhi including Red Fort, Jamma Masjid, Raj Ghat, Jamma Masjid, Qutab Minar, Humayun’s Tomb, Lotus Temple, India Gate and drive past President house and parliament building. Overnight: Hotel

Day 3
Delhi - Corbett

Morning drive to Corbett (295 kms). Upon arrival in Corbett, check into hotel. Rest of day free to walk around forest area and river Ramganga. Overnight: Hotel.

Day 4
Corbett

Early morning & afternoon, enjoy Jeep safari into the park for wildlife viewing and to spot Tigers. Corbett has the highest density of Tiger in the country– approximately one every 10 sq km and it was here that the prestigious “Project Tiger” was launched in 1973. Four species of deer – hog deer, sambar, chital and barking deer and other prey like the wild boar, are fodder for the tiger.

Besides the tiger, Corbett is a haven for 50 mammals, 580 kinds of birds and 25 reptile species. The park has elephants, the Himalayan black bear in the higher elevations, sloth bear, varieties of lesser cats, dhole the wild dog and an entire spectrum of colourful birds including water birds, pheasants, jungle fowl and the Indian hornbill. Overnight: Hotel.

Day 5
Corbett - Agra (335 Km)

Morning drive to Agra. Upon arrival in Agra, check into your hotel. Afternoon visit the famous Taj Mahal -This most famous Moghul monument was constructed by Emperor Shah Jahan in memory of his wife Mumtaz Mahal “the lady of the Taj”.

It has been described as the most extravagant monument ever built for love, for the emperor was heartbroken when Mumtaz died after 17 years of marriage, during the birth of her 14th child. (Taj Mahal is closed on Friday). Overnight: Hotel.

Day 6
Agra- Bharatpur drive

Morning visit the famous Taj Mahal and Agra fort. Later drive to Bharatpur en route visiting Fatehpur Sikri – the impressive sandstone fortress was built in the 16th century and only occupied for a few years before being abandoned, leaving the buildings in virtually perfect conditions. Continue your drive to Bharatpur. Upon arrival in Bharatpur, check into your hotel. Overnight: Hotel.

Day 7
Bharatpur

Morning Visit famous Keoladeo Ghana Bird Sanctuary. Board the cycle rickshaws to the famous Keoladeo Ghana Bird Sanctuary, which is a wonder of the natural world and no less worth seeing than the marble mausoleum of the Taj. Here over 350 species of birds find refuge in the 29 sq. kms of shallow lakes & wood lands of the park. Overnight: Hotel.

Day 8
Bharatpur - Ranthambore drive (210 Kms/6-7 hrs)

Morning travel to the Rajasthan most renowned wildlife national park Ranthambore. Arrive Ranthambore and check into hotel.
Overnight: Hotel.

Day 9
Ranthambore

Early morning & late afternoon you will be escorted on a game viewing in the sanctuary by canter/jeeps. Overnight: Hotel.

Day 10
Ranthambore - Jaipur (180 Kms/3 hrs)

Early morning you will be escorted on a game viewing in the sanctuary by canter/jeeps. Later in the afternoon drive to Jaipur. Arrive Jaipur and check into hotel. Overnight: Hotel.

Day 11
Jaipur Sightseeing

Morning after breakfast, enjoy a full day sightseeing tour of Jaipur. Enjoy an elephant ride up to the famous Amber Fort. Thereafter, drive to visit the enchantingly beautiful City Palace, a fine blend of Rajasthani and Mughal architecture. Later, visit the Hawa Mahal (Palace of Winds), the landmark architecture of Jaipur built of pink sandstone and The observatory (Jantar Mantar), built by maharaja Jai Singh in 1728. Evening explore the local market. Overnight: Hotel.

Day 12
Jaipur - Delhi and departure

Morning travel to Delhi by surface (265 Kms/6 hrs). Arrive Delhi and transfer to the airport to board the flight to onward destination. Tour and services ends here.
